Bastrop Replant the Park

Thanks to our Sponsors: the Applied Material Foundation and Silicon Labs; and Partners: Bastrop State Park, the Texas Conservation Corps, Keep Austin Beautiful, 10 area schools and donors, The Nobelity Project helped plant almost 200,000 loblolly pine trees in Bastrop State Park. With other volunteers groups and overall park efforts, a total of 223,000 trees were planted this year!

We had such a great time planting with students, sponsors and friends that we are committing to continue Replant the Park next year, thanks to the support of the Applied Materials Foundation and the Bellows Foundation. Keep an eye out for more information in the fall as we get closer to the tree planting window (Dec 2013-Feb 2014).

“It’s the little things citizens do. That’s what will make the difference.  My little thing is planting trees.”
– Wangari Maathai, Nobel Peace Prize, 2004
